Diesel Tank Installation Guide
Proper installation ensures safety, efficiency, and longevity of your diesel tank with pump system
1Preparing for Installation
- Confirm that the diesel tank with pump and its accessories are complete
- Inspect the tank, pump, and piping for damage or deformation
- Ensure that seals and connectors are intact
- Prepare appropriate installation tools, such as wrenches and sealing tape
- Confirm cables meet required specifications for electrical components
- Understand environmental requirements and comply with safety regulations
- Consult the equipment manual for specific installation parameters
2Select a Suitable Location and Secure the Tank
- Choose a well-ventilated site away from fire and heat sources
- Avoid areas with open flames or equipment that can generate sparks
- Ensure the site's surface is flat and has adequate load-bearing capacity
- Select a mounting method based on the tank type
- Check that the roller locking mechanism is secure for mobile tanks
- Securely bolt fixed tanks to pre-installed ground base
- Prevent tank from shaking or shifting during use
3Connect the Oil Pipeline Correctly
- Clean the interface between the tank's oil outlet and the pump
- Wrap sealing tape around the interface to enhance the seal
- Tightly connect the pump's oil inlet to the tank's oil outlet
- Connect the oil outlet to the equipment to be supplied
- Ensure pipelines are straight and avoid excessive bends
- Check for tightness by gently pulling on the pipes
- Reroute pipes to prevent pressure or scratches from sharp objects
4Complete the Electrical Configuration
- Connect the power supply according to the equipment specifications
- Ensure the power cord matches the rated voltage of the equipment
- Verify proper insulation to prevent leakage
- Connect the pump's electrical control wires to corresponding control switches
- Install auxiliary electrical components such as liquid level sensors
- Connect signal cables to ensure proper data transmission
- Follow all instructions for electrical component installation
5Perform Post-Installation Inspection and Commissioning
- Check that all connections are properly sealed
- Inspect for signs of diesel leakage
- Perform a no-load commissioning
- Observe pump operation and listen for unusual noises
- Add a small amount of diesel and perform a load test
- Verify that diesel is smoothly delivered to target equipment
- Check that auxiliary functions are working properly
- Investigate and adjust any abnormalities before placing into service
