1. Maintain a Suitable Storage Environment
- Place the tank in a cool, well-ventilated area
- Keep away from direct sunlight to minimize effects of high temperatures
- Avoid humid environments to prevent moisture from entering the tank
- Moisture and diesel can form an emulsion, damaging diesel quality
- If ambient temperature fluctuates significantly, properly insulate the tank
- Maintain stable temperature to minimize impact on diesel performance
2. Keep the Tank Clean
- Regularly clean the tank interior to remove impurities and sludge
- These substances can react with diesel, accelerating its deterioration
- Before each new diesel injection, inspect the tank interior
- Ensure no residual contaminants are mixed in
- Keep the tank exterior clean to prevent dust and debris
- Ensure a clean environment for diesel storage
3. Control Diesel Injection Quality
- Diesel injected must meet quality standards
- Choose qualified diesel from reputable channels
- Avoid using low-quality or deteriorated diesel
- Ensure proper filtration during injection to remove impurities
- Reduce the chance of contaminants entering the tank
- For extended storage, add diesel stabilizer to slow oxidation
4. Strengthen Tank Seals
- Ensure proper tank sealing
- Check tank opening, pipeline connections, and valves for tight seals
- Prevent air, moisture, dust and other foreign matter from entering
- Regularly inspect seals for aging and damage
- Replace any problems promptly to maintain good seal
