3. Safety Valve Functional Test
- Using a pressure tester, slowly apply pressure to simulate an increase in tank pressure
- Observe whether the safety valve's opening pressure meets design specifications
- Verify that the safety valve automatically opens and releases pressure when reaching the rated opening value
- Confirm that the safety valve closes smoothly after pressure drops to the reseat pressure
- Record pressure changes and response during valve operation
4. Safety Valve Sealing Performance Verification
- With the safety valve closed, apply constant pressure using a seal test device
- Observe whether the pressure remains stable without significant drops
- Wipe the sealing surface with a clean cloth to check for signs of oil leakage
- If pressure drop or leakage is detected, disassemble to inspect seals for wear or deformation
- Clean or replace any damaged components promptly
5. Post-Test Procedures
- Label safety valves that pass the test with the test date and pass status
- Update inspection records for traceability
- Repair or replace malfunctioning safety valves immediately
- Retest repaired safety valves before reinstallation
- Reinstall the safety valve, tighten connecting bolts, and resume tank operation
- Regularly review safety valve performance to ensure long-term stable operation
