Drain Hole Operation Procedures
Safe and Effective Tank Maintenance
1Preparation Before Use
- Ensure that the fuel in the mobile tank is essentially empty to prevent fuel from flowing out with the water during drainage.
- Clean any debris and oil around the drain hole, ensuring the opening is clear and free of obstructions.
- Prepare a water container and place it directly below the drain hole, large enough to prevent splashing onto the ground.
2Standard Operating Procedures
- Slowly open the drain valve or plug to avoid splashing caused by rapid water flow.
- Observe the drainage and gently clear the drain hole with a clean tool if impurities are present.
- Keep the fuel tank stable during drainage to prevent residual fuel from mixing with drain water.
3Post-Drainage Completion
- Close the valve or tighten the plug to ensure a tight seal against leaks.
- Dispose of waste liquid in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Wipe the area around the drain hole to remove any remaining water and oil stains.
4Usage Precautions
- Avoid using the drain hole with a full tank to prevent fuel leaks.
- Regularly check the drain hole valve for flexibility and gasket integrity.
- In low-temperature environments, ensure no residual water remains to prevent freezing.
Important Safety Note
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing drainage operations, including gloves and eye protection. Ensure proper ventilation when working with fuel tanks.
