Diesel Transfer Tank Valve Inspection Guidelines
DailyInspection (Before Each Use)
- Check for cracks, deformation, or corrosion on valve body
- Inspect for loose connections or leaks at interfaces
- Operate valve switch to verify smooth movement without jamming
- Ensure proper opening/closing functionality
- Critical for frequently used tank trucks to detect vibration-induced issues
1-3 MonthsRegular Inspection
- Test valve sealing performance using pressure testing or soap bubble method
- Inspect valve core and seat for wear
- Clean internal contaminants (rust, sediment) to prevent clogging
- Lubricate rotating components (screws, bearings) to prevent rust
- Shorten cycle in humid or high-dust environments
6-12 MonthsSpecial Inspection
- Mandatory after extreme weather exposure or transportation shocks
- Thoroughly check connection tightness and structural integrity
- Function-test safety valves and emergency shut-off valves per industry standards
- For corrosive media (high-sulfur diesel), shorten to 3-6 month intervals
Note: Inspection frequency should be determined by evaluating multiple factors including usage frequency, environmental conditions, and transported media characteristics.
Critical Reminders
- Always follow manufacturer's specific maintenance recommendations
- Document all inspection results for maintenance records
- Replace valves showing significant wear or corrosion immediately
