Mobile Fuel Tank Impact Test Protocol
-
01
Thorough Preparation Before Testing
First, ensure that the mobile fuel tank is in proper condition. Clean any impurities and oil from the surface and inspect for pre-existing damage. Prepare appropriate impact testing equipment, such as a pendulum impact tester or a drop hammer impact device, and ensure stable operation. Furthermore, determine the environmental conditions during testing, such as temperature and humidity, based on the fuel tank's usage scenario and material characteristics, and maintain stable environmental parameters.

02
Determine Impact Locations & Methods
Testing is typically performed on vulnerable areas of the fuel tank, such as corners and weld seams, as these areas are more susceptible to impact in actual use. Impact methods can be classified as frontal and side impacts, simulating collisions at different angles. During the test, the force and speed of the impact are controlled to ensure compliance with relevant standards and to avoid distortion of test results due to improper operation.

03
Conducting the Impact Test
Start the testing equipment and apply the impactor to the test area of the mobile fuel tank in the specified manner. Simultaneously, high-speed cameras or sensors are used to record the impact moment, including changes in impact force and tank deformation. During the test, the tank must be closely observed for any abnormalities, such as cracks or leaks, and all test data and phenomena must be recorded promptly.

04
Post-Test Evaluation
After the impact test, carefully inspect the mobile fuel tank for appearance and performance changes, measure deformation, and check for structural damage or fuel leaks. Analyze the recorded data and, based on the tank's operating requirements and safety standards, assess whether its impact resistance meets the standards. If significant damage or performance degradation is observed during the test, determine whether it is within acceptable limits to provide a basis for quality improvement and safe use of the tank.
